Official Launch of "I'm Still Here" DVD
Tuesday, January 16, 2007
11:30am - 2:00 pm
Clarica Auditorium
Lyle Hallman Institute
University of Waterloo.
The Murray Alzheimer Research and Education Program (MAREP) is pleased to
extend an invitation to the official launch of our newest Educational Tool
"I'm Still Here" during Alzheimer's Awareness Month.
This research-based play had its live debut performance in 2004 at our
Changing Melody forum and continues to play to great acclaim.
"I'm Still
Here" is based on findings from research conducted with people living with
Alzheimer's disease and related dementias (ADRD) and daughters whose mothers
were diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. This DVD version of the play and
the accompanying teaching-learning guide are designed to enhance
understanding about what it is like to live with Alzheimer's disease and
related dementias from the perspectives of those living with dementia.
We present here a
sample of the one episode . More
information on "I'm Still Here"" is available in our
Education Tools
section.
Details for the launch are outlined in this
invitation.
