***EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED***
Thank you to everyone who attended the Alzheimer Awareness event on January 21st! We had such an amazing response to this event that it was necessary to open a second room to accommodate everyone!
A very big thank you to our amazing speakers - Dr. Peter Whitehouse, Ann Marie (and Carl) Wison, and Mary Beth Wighton (and her family Dawn and Brianna).
We have made available the Power Point presentation from our 3 speakers for those who were not able to attend.
In addition we have received permission to make available Mary Beth Wighton's presentation transcript in PDF.

Thanks again for making this event so meaningful!
Upcoming Events (other organizations):
SPRING 2013 - MAREP will host an Arts and Dementia Public Lecture and Exhibition. Stay tuned for more details.
I'm Still Here
I'm Still Here is a powerful, research-based play that presents a realistic portrayal of the experience of dementia from the perspectives of those living with dementia and their families. The play is performed by actors from ACT II Studio housed at Ryerson University. MAREP hosted a local presentation of I'm Still Here at the Sunshine Centre, Luther Village, Waterloo in April of 2005. The play was a success! A sample from the play is available online.
